Scheduling My Work
This week’s dev log is titled “Scheduling My Work” which is funny because I’m not sure if I’m supposed to follow this prompt or not. I’m just writing anything at this point and I’m not sure if he actually reads these but he said to be honest right? Anyways I’m very familiar with scheduling my work. It's just the carrying out of the schedule that's tough sometimes, especially in a team project where schedules might not align or we get so caught up on other assignments that we forget when we have planned a meeting. While I know how beneficial it is to work on all your projects in parallel (especially when deadlines are within a day of each other), I can’t seem to bring myself to work on this project when there’s no impending deadline plunging down in my direction. To be blunt, I have not thought about this class assignment aside from when we work on it in class. I’m going to regret that later but I also can’t expect my team members to take time away from a very busy week to work on it with me while all our minds are bleached clean of all thoughts. That reality in consideration, the amount of free working time we have in classes on Tuesday have been extremely helpful. Surely, we will not fall behind. 🙂

Hey Grace! Incredible analysis on scheduling and on the devlogs lol. I do agree that it's very difficult to execute work when there's no near deadline, hence the procrastination. Only when an assignment is due soon do I really get pressured to start working on it, and sometimes that work is better than what would have been produced if worked on sooner!
Hi Grace! I agree with you that it's a valid point that the execution of a schedule often proves more challenging than its creation, especially in a team setting. Perhaps a solution could be to break down the project into smaller tasks and set personal mini-deadlines.
